SBCEF Grant Awards
Since 1994 the Stoneham Business and Community Educational Foundation has enhanced the education of Stoneham children annually in public and private schools and other organizations. It has awarded over $133,000, funding 202 grants for innovative programs and rojects. Our grants reach 2,000 to 3,000 children annually. Beginning in the fall of 2006, Our Place MELD Center, Inc., began to assist the Foundation in funding some of the grants awarded. The Foundation's slogan "IT TAKES AN ENTIRE VILLAGE TO EDUCATE A CHILD" is being realized, as support for the Foundation's activities grow. Programs funded recently are as follows: Spring 2009
